WHAT WE DO AT WOODRUFF PARK ATLANTA

ABOUT WOODRUFF PARK ATLANTA
The 6-acre Atlanta Woodruff Park is located in the geographic center of Atlanta, among the modern office towers and historic buildings of the Fairlie-Poplar district. Located at the crossroads of commerce, government, and education, it is a natural gathering place for Atlantans and visitors to explore Downtown Atlanta and its surrounding neighborhoods.
Woodruff Park was created in the 1970s thanks to a generous donation from former Coca-Cola president Robert W. Woodruff.
Through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the City of Atlanta, the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID) maintains stewardship of Woodruff Park, securing and implementing funding for future development, and ensuring that the park is kept up and maintained daily. Over its six acres of beautifully manicured grounds, the park features a variety of recreation stations and facilities.
Festivals, events and performances take place at Woodruff Park every year, including:
Costume contest and pet pageant at Doggy Con
Live concerts and movies from Woodruff Park
The Downtown Daffodil Project
Annual German Bierfest
The Atlanta Contemporary Arts Center, gloATL, Dashboard, and Elevate Atlanta displayed art and performances
Bicycle rides organized by Mobile Social and Critical Mass every month
Each day, Park Attendants patrol the grounds in partnership with the Atlanta Police Department and the Georgia State University Police Force. Additionally, the Downtown Clean Team keeps the park clean and vibrant.
